Forum Terms of service

Using the forum. By registering on this forum, you agree to use it properly, and to refrain from posting any content that is aggressive, offensive, defamatory, hateful, or in violation of applicable laws and regulations. You agree not to post messages inciting or evoking illegal practices, or violating the terms of use of the service.

The moderators and administrators of this forum will do their best to delete or edit any reprehensible messages that may be posted on the forum. You acknowledge that all messages posted on this forum express the opinion of their respective authors, and do not necessarily reflect the position of the moderators and administrators.

In order to ensure the moderation of this forum, any message violating the preceding provisions may be edited or deleted without notice by the moderators and administrators of the forum. Any abuse may also be sanctioned by banning or deleting the user account. We reserve the right to inform your access provider and/or the judicial authorities of any malicious behaviour.

- Members are to treat each others with respect at all times. "Army of the Shenandoah" is first and foremost a game and supposed to be fun for all of us. While it might be that your characters fight not only physically but verbally as well this will not be allowed to happen in any OOC way! So should you threaten another player, insult him/her and use profanities you will be banned immediately and indefinitely. There is NO excuse for such behavior.

- One other thing that you should keep in mind: This game will not be a "political correct" game, since we are trying to reproduce how things where during the Civil War in the Confederate and the Union States.

Information about us

https://19thcenturywbts.forumotion.com is a forum founded by it's administrator on the 11th of January in the Year 2016 and is run by him and by a couple of volunteers - all work free of charge and no one has to pay for the use of the forum.

Accessing our site

Access to our site is permitted on a temporary basis, and we reserve the right to withdraw or amend the service we provide on our site without notice (see below). We will not be liable if for any reason our site is unavailable at any time or for any period. From time to time, we may restrict access to some parts of our site, or our entire site, to users who have registered with us.

You warrant that any such contribution does comply with those standards, and you indemnify us for any breach of that warranty.

We have the right to remove any material or posting you make on our site if, in our opinion, such material does not comply with the content standards set out in our acceptable use policy.
We have the right to revoke your access to our site if, in our opinion, your conduct on the site does not comply with the standards set out in our acceptable use policy. Moderation

You are responsible for your own postings and Private Messages. You agree to take reasonable steps to ensure that your postings or Private Messages not extend to messages which are obscene, vulgar, sexually-oriented, hateful, threatening or otherwise violative of any laws. We will not be held responsible for the content of any posting or Private Message.

Excessive bandwidth use (for later use in browser based game stage)
In the event that your site uses excessive widget bandwidth to or from our site we reserve the right to review this with you and identify ways in which it can be kept to an acceptable level. If excessive bandwidth usage continues over an extended period of time we reserve the right to revoke your access to the site.

Bots and automation (for later use in browser based game stage)

In the event that bots, auto-connect or any other use of automation by you is found to be excessive we reserve the right to review your account with you and recommend alternative use. If excessive use of bots, auto-connect or automation continues over an extended period we reserve the right to revoke your access to the site.

Linking to our site

You may link to our home page, provided you do so in a way that is fair and legal and does not damage our reputation or take advantage of it, but you must not establish a link in such a way as to suggest any form of association, approval or endorsement on our part where none exists.
You must not establish a link from any website that is not owned by you.
Our site must not be framed on any other site. We reserve the right to withdraw linking permission without notice. The website from which you are linking must comply in all respects with the content standards set out in our acceptable use policy.
